Here’s What You’ll Learn in our Interview with Tamara Hirsh
Tamara enjoyed a successful 20+ years designing and building executive vacation homes. Her career quickly transcended into recreational real estate and log home building after moving to the world-renowned ski town of Whistler, British Columbia.
Later Tamara helped the company branch out into other markets, leading the way in a major rebrand and re-structuring of Hirsh Log Homes. This endeavour transitioned the company from the one-home-at-a-time builds of quaint slope-side ski chalets, into a vertically integrated national development firm that creates multi-million dollar award-winning log and timber frame homes in Muskoka, Ontario.
Eight years ago after a chance encounter with a seemingly harmless common reef fish, Tamara contracted a neurotoxin disorder. Like many other Canadians using conventional opioid pharmaceuticals to manage chronic pain, Tamara was introduced to cannabis which became the catalyst for radical career evolution. It didn’t take long for her to recognize its profound medicinal value and to evolve her design / build skills into developing award-winning medical clinics and a chain of successful boutique retail stores.
Today, Tamara has settled on the shores of the Gold Coast of Guanacaste and is proud to call Costa Rica home. Her current real estate projects involve a multi-unit commercial development and the renovation of a restaurant/lounge and an upscale boutique hotel.
